Family Tree
The history of my entire family genealogy is documented on Ancestry.com, which has 1613 family members, 500 photos, and 3179 historical records. The tree traces back to my ancestors living in Eastern Europe before the Holocaust. My mother created this site for our family because she wanted to learn more about where is she is from and where our family originated. This project has taken her about four years and she has discovered many things about our family's past that no one ever knew before. Everyone thought that all of our ancestors had escaped from Europe before the Holocaust because my Great-Grandparents had never mentioned that anyone stayed in Europe. However, while my mother started finding information out about our family in Europe she discovered that many of my Great-Grandmother's, Aunts and Uncles did not escape Europe and perished in the Holocaust. My family would never have known this information without investigating more about my roots on Ancestry.com. That knowledge was almost lost once my Great-Grandmother died and obviously she was never willing to share that painful memory that she kept her whole life.
